Marina Adu-Quaye



Marina previously practiced pediatric medicine in Belarus and Ghana for thirteen years until she emigrated to Canada in 2009. She was hired in January 2010 and is involved primarily in maintaining the SSCU database and conducting various studies including a multi-centre trial at Health Sciences Centre.

 

 



Ben Arenson



Ben has recently been hired as a research technician at St. Boniface General Hospital. Ben will be assisting various members of the department with their research projects at both St. Boniface General Hospital and Health Sciences Centre.

 





John McVagh



John has over seven years experience in both clinical and bench research at the University of Manitoba in rheumatology and neuroscience. He is Dr. Hilary Grocott's research technicican and will be co-ordinating his research program and conducting Dr. Grocott's research studies at St. Boniface Hospital.

 





Otto Regalado

Otto is a very recent hire in the department. Otto previously practiced general surgery in El Salvador for six years until emigrating to Canada in December 2010. He will be working primarily on the VISION trial at Health Sciences Centre. 

 





Alex Villafranca



Alex has over two years research experience in clinical based research at St. Boniface General Hospital as Dr. Eric Jacobsohn's research technician. He has been involved primarily in the BAG-RECALL project at SBGH, and is currently involved in several studies at SBGH most notably a large multi-centre POISE-2 trial about to launch under the direction of Dr. Jacobsohn. Alex is available for statistical and general consults to our faculty.
