I am a Senior Research Scientist at the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy (MCHP), and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. I have led MCHP projects on several topics, including the 2009 Indicators Atlas for Manitoba’s Regional Health Authorities, and Sex Differences in Health Status, Health Care Use and Quality of Care. I am the Co-Director (with Dr. Patricia Martens) of The Need To Know team, an award-winning collaborative team of university-based researchers and program and policy managers from all of Manitoba’s Regional Health Authorities, plus Manitoba Health. I am also developing a research program in the epidemiology of cardiovascular health care, and am involved with research in Critical Care, Cardiac Sciences, and Immigrant Health.
