Family Medicine teachers: you may find the resources on the following site to be quite helpful to your teaching practice:
Resources and Support for Community Preceptor Excellence (R-Scope)
An amalgam of teaching resources and tools for community physicians who teach Family Medicine residents, this website will be of value to physicians who are new to teaching as well as more experienced preceptors.
R-Scope was developed through the Provincial Faculty Development Initiative, funded by the Government of Ontario and the Physician Services Committee.
The Provincial Faculty Development Initiative is a collaboration among Ontario’s six Schools of Medicine, the Ontario College of Family Physicians and the Council of Ontario Faculties of Medicine. This project has been transferred to the College of Family Physicians of Canada which now supports this application.
This website provides information regarding the new Triple C curriculum. From this page you can access the short video, "On the Triple C!", the Triple C Toolkit, and the Triple C Report: Part 1.
Accessible Resource For Teaching
The Centre for Faculty Development at the University of Toronto has developed a series of short, online modules to bring faculty development to the teaching practice. Each module focuses on a particular teaching and learning topic that can be applied in the teaching context and practice. Each module of the program incorporates teaching videos (such as the sample below), reflection questions and resources and is designed to be completed within about 15 minutes.
