Research Interests: Dr. Plummer's current research interests include mechanisms of resistance to HIV, risk factors for heterosexual transmission of HIV, mother-to-child transmission of HIV, public health strategies for control of sexually transmitted infections, and the immunobiology of gonococcal infections.
