| Research Interests: Study of the dynamics of communicable diseases and various public health issues for the population of Manitoba including: burden of illness analyses (eg. the impact of respiratory infections on hospitalization, important prior to the introduction of new accines);effectiveness, impact, and/or cost-benefit analysis (eg. immunization programs, screening, surveillance, STD control); and description of new or emerging diseases (eg. Blastomycosis, Hantavirus, hepatitis C, C. difficile, antimicrobial resistance). | ||||||
