Alumni - 50th Anniversary Homecoming

The 50th anniversary of the School of Medical Rehabilitation was celebrated on Friday, September 14, 2012, at the Bannatyne Campus. Dr. David Barnard, President and Vice-Chancellor, University of Manitoba, Dr. Brian Postl, Dean of Medicine, Mr. John Kearsey, Vice-President, Alumni Association, and Dr. Emily Etcheverry, Director of the School of Medical Rehabilitation, brought greetings to a crowd of 225.

Among the alumni, special guests, faculty and staff who attended this milestone event, we were privileged to host 11 of the 17 graduates from the class of 1962! Several of the School's founders were also in attendance and were recognized for their tireless efforts in establishing the School.

'Big Daddy Tazz' emceed the event and entertained the crowd with his off-the-cuff style of comedy.

The School of Medical Rehabilitation Homecoming Committee would like to acknowledge all those in attendance--without you, this event would not have been a success!

SMR's Homecoming 2013 will take place on September 21st so hold the date!
