Accreditation Status

An accreditation system for respiratory therapy education programs in Canada is provided through the Council on Accreditation for Respiratory Therapy Education (CoARTE). The CoARTE accreditation system ensures that universities and colleges offering respiratory therapy education programs meet the profession’s national competency standards for entry-level respiratory therapists. The University of Manitoba Respiratory Therapy program was awarded ongoing accreditation status by CoARTE until 2013.
