Clinical Community

Preceptor Training

The Department of Respiratory Therapy is now offering preceptor training workshops for respiratory therapists from our partner sites in clinical education. It is our hope that these workshops will support the respiratory therapy community in its commitment to educating future respiratory therapists. The following workshops are provided free of charge:

Level 1: Orientation to Fieldwork Education in the BMR(RT) Program (1 hr):

This workshop will help to familiarize preceptors with the BMR(RT) program goals, objectives, and delivery format. Participants will be oriented to the clinical education process in Respiratory Therapy including clinical course objectives, evaluation tools and techniques, scheduling and the role of the University’s RT Clinical Fieldwork Coordinator.
