Transcripts

All applicants must meet the minimum GPA requirement of 'B' or equivalent (GPA 3.0/4.0) in their last 60 credit hours of study.

Official transcripts must be submitted from all post-secondary institutions attended. To be official, transcripts must be received in envelopes that have been sealed and endorsed by the issuing institution. In cases where the transcript does not clearly state that a degree has been conferred, an official degree certificate is required to accompany the transcript. Where academic records are produced in a language other than English, the applicant must arrange for the submission of official literal translations of all records.

Proof of English   Language  Proficiency A successfully completed English Language Proficiency Test is required of all applicants.  Proficiency in English can be demonstrated prior to admission by:

i) Posessing a high school diploma or university degree from Canada or one of the countries on the English Language Proficiency Test Exemption List.
ii) Successfully completing an English Language Proficiency Test. (minimum scores are indicated in parentheses; some departments may require a specific test or test scores greater than those indicated)
  • University of Michigan English Language Examination Assessment Battery MELAB (80%)
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL– Paper-based test (550); Computer-based test (213); Internet-based test (80)
  • Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Teachers CanTEST (band 4.5 in listening and reading and band 4.0 in writing and oral interview)
  • International English Language Testing System IELTS (6.5)
  • Academic English Program for University and College Entrance AEPUCE (65%)
  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) – minimum 60 overall and 60 on each subject.

    • List of countries exempt from the language requirement.
    • List of acceptable tests in English language proficiency.
A written  agreement with a supervisor for RESEARCH PROGRAM ONLY • Please check list of supervisors and obtain written consent prior to submitting admissions application for the research based program (NOT REQUIRED FOR PATHOLOGISTS ASSISTANT PROGRAM).
