Orthopaedic Surgery - Research
Research within the Section of Orthopaedic Surgery occurs at various sub-sectional levels.
The recently formed Joint Research Council has representatives from sports medicine/upper extremity, arthroplasty, and trauma, spine, and pediatric surgery.
Research in the Section of Orthopaedic Surgery is assisted by the Gibson Orthopaedic Fund for Research and Education, which was bestowed upon the Section by the Estate of the late Alexander Gibson. This has provided a tremendous boost to research and delivers ongoing funding to various trials and educational/research efforts.
