Dr. Buchel completed his medical training at the University of Manitoba and his Residency in General Surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in Manhattan New York. Dr. Buchel then went on to complete a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. Further training in reconstructive microsurgery was completed in Taipei Taiwan. Dr Buchel remained on Staff at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale Arizona until returning to Winnipeg in 2004.
Dr. Buchel is currently focusing his clinical practice on reconstructive microsurgery for cancer and trauma patients, as well as general reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery.
