Alumni News: Paul Metcalfe, PBD 2005, M.Mus 2007

“After completing a Commerce Degree at the U of M I was interested in pursuing music, and the post-baccalaureate program was perfect for my situation.  The program offered a representative sample of the undergraduate material as well as a more focused study in each student’s particular area of interest.

The classes were small, which meant I was able to move quickly through the areas I understood and spent more time on the subjects I needed to focus on. The two hours of private lessons each week allowed for frequent feedback on my performance.

Because of all the preparation through the year, my post-baccalaureate recital was one of my most fulfilling performances.  Overall, the post-baccalaureate program is an excellent way to further pursue music after completing an undergraduate degree.”
