Activities of the ensemble vary widely, ranging from live soundtrack performance to the mounting of media art installations. The XIE is dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration with partners both on and off campus. Recent academic collaborations include projects with Architecture, Computer Science, Sculpture, and Electrical Engineering.

Performances

The XIE performs approximately six times per year, typically including Faculty of Music recitals, Jamming the Dragon (see below), and a host of special projects.
