Please note that lesson arrangements must be made with a teacher before registration forms for private lessons are completed.  Lessons can start at any time through the year and can take place on the U of M campus or in locations throughout the city. Follow the easy steps below to start your inquiries!

Step 1

• Call the Division of Preparatory Studies at 204.474.9797 or email us at prepmusic@umanitoba.ca

Step 2

• Discuss your lesson needs with our Program Director or Program Assistant. These may include:

• instrument
• area of city
• previous experience
• goals of the student
• genres they may want to study

Step 3

• Our Program Director or Assistant will inquire with teachers on your behalf and recommend a teacher that best suits your logistical and qualitative needs

Step 4

• The teacher will get in touch with you directly to introduce themselves and discuss lesson arrangements

Step 5

• Once a lesson time has been arranged with your teacher, please contact the Prep office to register. A registration form is available for download on the right.
