"Gifted musicians thrive in an environment where their talents and hard work are supported with generous financial assistance, expert instruction, and abundant opportunities."
Edmund Dawe, Dean
The financial support offered by the Desautels Faculty of Music is among the most generous in Canada. Qualifying undergraduate and graduate students receive scholarships and bursaries enabling them to devote more time to their studies and artistic development. Currently, over 60% of our students hold Faculty of Music and/or University scholarships and bursaries.
In addition to the many scholarships listed below, numerous renewable, annual, and one-time awards are available through the Desautels Endowment. Since 2009, we have awarded over $1.9 million in undergraduate and graduate scholarships from the Desautels Endowment.
Our graduate students may also qualify for the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship or other awards through the Faculty.
