 Current Research

Population of Interest: Older adults living in long-term care and their family members.
Research foci:
A. The issues and challenges in delivering quality palliative/end-of-life care to older adults living in long-term care facilities. Interested in developing predictive models of satisfaction with end-of-life care, communication tools to facilitate end-of-life discussions, assessment of quality care and needs of family caregivers.
B. Dementia care – exploring the delivery of end-of-life care to older adults with dementia and their caregivers.
C. Palliative care for non-cancer populations – psychosocial, existential, physical distress.
