Email is one of the primary forms of communication used in the Faculty of Nursing. Important information regarding courses, events and notices are regularly forwarded to students via email.

The Faculty of Nursing requires all students to:

• use only your University of Manitoba email account to communicate (send & receive) with course leaders, CEF’s, advisors, and other members of the Faculty of Nursing, and agencies in which students are placed for clinical experience.
• not forward emails from your University of Manitoba email account to other email providers such as gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc.
• check your University of Manitoba email account regularly. 
• delete old messages regularly, because you will not receive messages if your mailbox is full.

The Faculty of Nursing, including all faculty and staff, are required to use only the student’s University of Manitoba email accounts when communicating with students. No communication will be made to any other email account in an attempt to contact a student.

The use of the University of Manitoba email account is required:

• to maintain confidentiality
  • between students and Faculty administration
  • between students/instructors/health care recipients
• to ensure timeliness of communication
