MCNHR Advisory Board

Terms of Reference

  • The purposes of the MCNHR Advisory Board are to:
    • Advise on MCNHR’s strategic direction by providing advice with respect to emerging challenges and opportunities.
    • Advise and assist MCNHR to determine an appropriate set of activities to meet its mission, vision and goals.
    • Assure the long-term viability of MCNHR.

  • Duties and Responsibilities
    • Promote the MCNHR and its goals
    • Inform the Director of current research trends and issues from members’ respective constituencies
    • Communicate the activities and programs of the MCNHR to the nursing and health care community and others
    • Advise on establishing areas of research concentration for MCNHR
    • Promote MCNHR linkages with relevant government, business, academic and community groups
    • Assist in the identification of new sources of MCNHR fundraising
    • Assist in the activities and programs of the MCNHR through membership on sub-committees and advocacy of nursing research
    • Receive MCNHR reports including the annual report and the financial statements contained therein
    • Perform such other tasks as may be necessary to achieve the purposes and objectives of MCNHR
