McKee to Receive Outreach Award

Nov. 29 - Bison Sports would like to congratulate Mr. Walt McKee for receiving the 2000-2001 Outreach Award "for his involvement as a leader in the area of sport development and coaching at the local, provincial and national level; for his continued leadership as a volunteer member of the Board of Directors of Sport Manitoba; for his involvement as a Master Course Conductor and Mentor Coach for the National Coaching Certification Program for the sport of soccer; and for his efforts to increase the number of opportunities for females to participate in sport at an elite level through the support of women's soccer and women's ice hockey at the University".

Mr. McKee is the Head of the Service Unit at the Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation Studies and is the former Athletic Director here at the University of Manitoba.
