10 - The early season struggles continue for the Brandon University
Lady Bobcats. For the second straight night, the ‘Cats came out
strong but finished poorly, losing 93-73 to the University of Manitoba
Bisons.
Brandon
led 29-19 early in the second quarter, only to watch the Bisons
blow the game open with a 25-4 run.
“We just didn’t respond properly to their pressure,” said Brandon
head coach Jaime Hickson. “Turnovers were an issue all game long...
I really think we showed our age with our inconsistency.”
The
Bobcats are now 0-4, while the Bisons improved to 3-1.
Kaitlyn
Flett scored 21 points to lead the Bisons, while Melanie Thompson
delivered a game-high 22 for the Bobcats.
