Bison Women's Basketball Staff

Pam Danis has been the head coach of the University of Manitoba Bisons women’s basketball team since 2001-02.

Danis is no stranger to winning traditions, with her sterling playing background as the starting point guard for the University of Winnipeg from 1992-95. She was an instrumental player in the team’s three back-to-back-to-back national championships, and an astounding 88 game winning streak, which tied a North American record for the most consecutive wins.

More recently, Coach Danis is proud of a partnership with the Skownan First Nation known as “Running with the Bisons” which encourages friendship and understanding and the teachings of the bison.

Previous to the Bisons, she had coached with St. John’s Ravenscourt for six seasons. In addition, Danis coached the Manitoba Juvenile Provincial team for two seasons, and also spent one season as an assistant coach of the University of Manitoba Bisons.
