Monique Lamoureux and Jocelyne Lamoureux had 3 points each to
lead their St. Mary's team to victory over the Bantam AAA Sharks
from Winnipeg.

Goals scorers for the Bisons were Leanne Kisil, Katherine O'Rourke
and first year player Addie Miles. All three goals were scored
on the power play.

Sarah Stebeleski from the Bisons put in the first goal for the
Bisons half way through the first period on the powerplay. Second
year forward Becca King from Thunder Bay added 2 even strength
goals in the second period, Stebeleski assisted on both.

AM 1st Place Game - University of Manitoba 3 vs. Shattuck St.Mary’s
4 (shootout)
Sarah Stebeleski, Meghan Ross and Leanne Kisil were the goal scorers
for the Bisons in the final game of the UMSU Invitational. After
regulation time, the score was tied 3 - 3. Nothing was decided
in 5 min. overtime. In the shootout, the fourth shooter Amanda
Kessel from Shattuck put one past Bison goaltender Stacey Corfield.
The final shooter for the Bisons rookie Addie Miles couldn't beat
Rebecca Ruegsegger from Shattuck. The St. Mary's Sabres were awarded
the championship trophy for the UMSU Invitational Tournament.
Corfield was named player of the game from the Bisons and Amanda
Castignetti received player of the game honors for Shattucks.
The Bison Women's home opener is Friday, October 5th, 7:00 pm
at the Max Bell Arena vs. Lethbridge Pronghorns.
