Jan. 14 - The Manitoba Bison toppled the Calgary Dinos 3 sets to 1 in men's volleyball action Friday at the Investors Group Athletic Centre.

Set 1 saw the Bisons jump to an early lead over the Dinos and control play until the last attack. They took the set 25-20.

Set 2 was the reverse and saw Calgary take the lead early. The Bisons battled back to tie the game at 6. The Bisons then took the lead to13 points, where it was the Dinos turn to come back and tie the set. The balance of the set was a back and forth battle, with the Dinos eventually coming out on top 25-22.

Set 3 was a runaway for the Bisons, who made some amazing stuff blocks, several service aces and were spectacular at the net. They easily took the set 25-10.

Set 4 was the hardest fought set of the night, with neither team gaining anymore than two points on the other, until 14 points. That's when the Bisons rallied and pulled away by 4 points. The teams battled to 20-16, but the Bisons were in fine form and began to attack and stuff block the Dinos. The Dinos managed one more point, but the Bisons finished the set off with a huge attack to finish at 25-17.
