| Manitoba Drops Montreal in 5 Sets |
| Oct. 23 - The Manitoba Bison Men's Volleyball team defeated Montreal 3-2 (26-24, 24-26, 22-25, 25-17, 15-11) in an excellent evening of volleyball. The tone was set for the evening, when the Bison's upset Montreal in a close opening set 26-24. Every set was a battle for the two teams. Montreal took set two and three from the Bison's. Neither team led the other by more than 2 points in sets one through three. Sets four and five saw Manitoba come back for the overall win. Toon Van Lankvelt for Manitoba had 19 kills, 40 total attacks and 10 digs for an impressive evening. For Montreal, Christian Bernier was by far their best player of the night with 23 kills, 46 total attacks and 5 digs. |
