January 27 - The University of Manitoba Bisons defeated the Brandon Bobcats in three straight sets (25-17, 25-13, 25-16).

The Bobcats worked hard, but were never able to get close enough to put the Bisons in danger.

Matt Balchin of the Bisons led the team in kills with 11, and Josh Klassen followed with 9. Drew Venables had 28 assists on the night. Trevor Froese led the teams in digs with 8.

The Bisons had a typically strong game in blocks with a total of 10.5 team blocks.

The Bobcats Matt Rayner led the team with 8 kills, and Andrew Korol had 23 assists.

Manitoba improves to a 8- 7 record and the Bobcats go 3-12 in Can-West Play.

The Bisons and Bobcats have a rematch tommorow night at 8:00 P.M. at Investors Group Athletic Center.
