| November 11 - The # 3 ranked Manitoba Bisons took on the # 1 ranked Alberta Golden Bears in The Bison's home opener at Investor's Group Athletic Center. The match went to five sets but Alberta came out on top. (30-28, 23, 25, 25-28, 14-25, 12-15). Manitoba had strong performances by Toon van Lankvelt, Josh Klassen and Jeff Zylstra. van Lankvelt was named the UMSU player of the game as he posted 15 kills and seven digs. Golden Bear Dallas Soonias and Bison Josh Klassen each smashed a game high 19 kills. The Bison's will have a rematch against the Golden Bears tommorow November 12 at 8:00 P.M. |
