| November 12 - The university of Alberta Golden Bears defeated the Unversity of Manitoba Bisons 3-0 (13-25,30-32, 17-25). The Bisons had a tough first set making mistakes that Alberta took advantage of. They had a total of 19 service errors in the match. The second set was an exciting one for the home crowd with a score of 30-32 but Manitoba came up short. Alex Gaumont-Casias had 11 Kills for 17 attempts and Brock Davidiuk had 19 assists for the Golden Bears. Manitoba's Matt Balchin had 16 kills for 30 attempts, followed by Josh Klassen with 11 for 24 attempts. Drew Venables had 22 assists. Alberta's blocking was a key part to this game with 17.5 team blocks. Trevor Froese of the Manitoba Bisons was named the UMSU player of the Game as he posted four digs. |
