Nobody could beat the University of Manitoba Bisons this weekend.
The
Bisons went undefeated at the 2007 Sask Cup hosted by the University
of Saskatchewan Oct. 5-7 at the Physical Activity Centre. Their
final win came in the gold medal match Sunday over the University
of Regina Cougars in four sets (25-20, 25-19, 24-26, 25-21).
The
Cougars finished second in the tournament with only one loss in
the four-game round robin portion of the tournament. The loss also
came at the hands of the Bisons.
In
the bronze medal game, the Thompson Rivers Wolf Pack came up short
in defeating the University of Calgary Dinos. The Dinos won in four
sets (25-12, 25-15, 21-25, 25-14). Saskatchewan finished fifth at
the tournament with no wins in the round robin.
