Research
My research is focused on Shoal Lake Ontario, which is the water supply for the City of Winnipeg. The lake has a long history of gold mining dating before the opening of the Winnipeg Aqueduct in 1919. More recently Amador Gold and Halo Resources have been actively exploring known mineral occurrences in the area to increase reserves. These properties have been optioned to Hays Lake Gold and Everton Resources. I have supervised or co-supervised several research projects by B.Sc. students examining the geology and geophysics of Little Cameron Island where the Duport Mine is situated.
