The College of Dentistry on the University of Manitoba’s Bannatyne Campus is home to one of the best clinical training programs in North America.
Our Main Clinic is located within the College of Dentistry building at 780 Bannatyne Avenue adjacent to the Health Sciences Centre complex. With over 70 operatories, it is the largest oral health treatment facility in the province of Manitoba, if not one of the biggest in Western Canada. It is here where our students learn and practice towards the completion of their Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and their Diploma in Dental Hygiene.
Our outstanding training programming features excellent instructors from the practicing community in Manitoba coupled with advanced, modern equipment to ensure our students are well prepared to enter practice, and to provide world-class oral health care.
Our standards for excellence in training have a strong emphasis on comprehensive and compassionate care through service learning.
Students also participate in various community outreach programs, where they gain practical clinical training in off-site locations around the city.
Plus, your participation helps us maintain and enhance our reputation as one of the finest oral health academies in Canada today.
Our fees vary depending on the procedure performed, but on the average, treatment is available to the public at roughly 50% less than what is listed in the provincial fee guide.
Hours of Operation:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am to 5 pm
Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Undergraduate Main Clinic is open throughout the academic year from the end of August until the end of June, although many programs have staggered finish dates.
The clinic closes for Christmas Break, generally from the third week in December to the first working day after New Year's Day. An urgent care clinic for patients of record runs during the summer hiatus.
