Research Interests:

Our laboratory is interested in mechanisms of platelet activation and secretion. Over the last several years we have examined various aspects of dense granule secretion including identification of dense granule membrane proteins, and the clinical correlate, storage pool deficiency. We are also examining the platelet function in newborns and premature infants whose platelets demonstrate evidence of decreased signal transduction in response to a variety of stimuli.
