  • TOPICS COVERED (Intermediate Course):
    • Bench work in the laboratory
      i. Spectral imaging and SKY of mouse / human chromosomes
      ii. Fluorescence microscopy in 3D (manual, semi-automated and fully automated measurements and analysis).
    • Laser Scanning Microscopy (LSM)
    • Structured Illumination Microscopy (SIM)
      i. Appropriate sample preparation & structure preservation
      ii. Multi channel SIM imaging with proper channel alignment procedures
      iii. Image quality analysis
    • Imaging in the Genomic Centre for Cancer Research and Diagnosis:
      Image acquisition of all samples prepared during the course; interactive image analysis.
    • Journal clubs: Round table discussion of current literature in the field with experts in the field.
