Learning Technologies Centre

ConnectED

Learning. Teaching. Technology. For U of M faculty, these concepts are critical to successful academic careers. The complexities of technology — and the constantly morphing student expectations — can be overwhelming.

To assist faculty in navigating the opportunities (and avoid the pitfalls) of technology-assisted instruction (blended or completely online), the Learning Technologies Centre is facilitating a grassroots community allowing educators to share experiences, concerns, and best-practices.

The initial stage of this project will consist of a self-registration listserv. Based on the needs and requests of faculty, additional functionality will be added.

ConnectED will host regular face-to-face forums presenting and highlighting innovative projects. "Brown Bag" lunches and professional development workshops will provide additional support to individuals seeking to leverage technology to create effective and engaging learning experiences for in-class and at-distance learners.
