Statistics Canada 2001 Census Files
INTRODUCTION: Statistics Canada produces a variety of spatial products
associated with the
Census. These files include Census cartographic boundary files, Road network files, and
Skeletal road network files. They come in ArcInfo (export) format, or in MapInfo format.
Note that
Reference maps are freely available on the Statistics Canada website.
ACCESS: These files are available to current faculty, students and
staff of the University
of Manitoba, for non-commercial purposes. To access these products, please contact

are in the process of
installing the 2001 Census of Canada spatial files on the GIS Workstation,
located behind the Reference Desk in Elizabeth Dafoe Library.
