Explanatory Note:
For the first two years, from 1959-1960, the Circle had convened twice
yearly. The first two volumes of the Proceedings were called "v.
1, no. 1-2" and "v. 2, no. 1-2" accordingly. When the meeting
had become an annual event in 1961, volume 3 maintained "no. 1-2"
even though there had only been one Conference in May 1961, and another in April 1962. All following
issues up to v. 11, 1971 still continued to have "no. 1" on
the cover. With the 1963 Conference, the Fall date for all subsequent
& now truly "annual" Confences was adopted.
