Obituary for Charles Carter, 1928-1988:
Born in Dayton Kentucky on Oct. 27, 1928, he was educated
at the universities of Kentucky, Emeroy, and Chicago (Ph. D. in Hittitology, 1962).
He joined the UND History Dept. in 1966.
