Basic Medical Sciences

This six-story building was completed in April 1977, and was designed to provide office and laboratory space for the Departments of Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, and Immunology. The first and second floors are occupied by large lecture theatres and laboratory, seminar, and classroom spaces. The most impressive of these are lecture theatre A with seating for over four hundred and fifty, and theatres B and C with one hundred seats each. The basement houses central animal care services. A major public space is the two-story entry lobby towards William Avenue. There is a double set of entry doors with a stairway between.
