OUR MAN WESTON
Volume 10 Number 4.
Gordon Korman once again in his slapstick technique takes the reader through a series of unbelievable, humorous events.
Sidney and Tom, identical twins, are hired as staff for a resort hotel that happens to be next to a government air base. Sidney believes that Mr. Kitzel is plotting to steal the new OSIRIS plane being tested at the base. Sidney spends most of his time playing master detective, while Tom follows closely behind trying to set things right so that they will not be fired. The intrigue spreads further amongst the hotel guests who become suspicious of the bizarre activities and characters around the hotel. Mr. Waghorn benefits as he overcomes his writer's block and ends up happily writing his new mystery novel based on ideas from all the antics at the hotel.
Gordon Korman is a favourite author of most students from grades 3 to 8. Bruno and Boots are familiar characters from his first three books. Our Man Weston introduces Sidney and Tom. Their behaviour and the ridiculous antics will thrill Gordon Korman fans.
Unfortunately, the print is rather small considering that so many primary and junior fans will want the book.
