This three-part program presents the problems (biological, economic) produced by acid rain in Canada. The sources of the problem are identified, some technological solutions are given, and the politics of acid rain are explored. This video version is unfortunately a filmstrip transferred, and thus the visuals are static and not as clear as a film version would be. The information is presented in a low-key fashion. The script is geared to serious students, and a glossary of terms is provided in the manual, which also provides a summary of content, script and questions. As a video this is not recommended. As a filmstrip it would be useful for older or mature students. To absorb the content fully, repeated showings would be needed. Not recommended.
