Produced by Vaughan Killin
Volume 21 Number 3
A Dream Worth Living is the story of Kustaa Heikkila, a Finn who immigrated to Ontario in 1923. Examining his life from early childhood, we see the hardships and dreams that led to his decision to leave his homeland.
With actual photos, archival film clips and colourful drawings, we see his adventures as he set about making his dreams come true. The film retells his experiences with its harsh realities and joyous successes.
A well-produced film that catches the viewer's interest early and keeps it. The music is appropriate, descriptive of his culture and heritage.
