Manitoba Waterways Project: Evaluation and Improved Implementation

Description of proposed research
This study focuses on identifying the factors that contribute to and impede the implementation of environmental education programs. As well, the study examines the characteristics of environmental programs that have significant consequence on participants. The research base for understanding what contributes to Significant Life Experiences is poorly developed and pursues a deeper understanding of this area. The study uses the Manitoba Waterways Project and programs offered by Ducks Unlimited as contexts for the study. Following from these initial studies, support will be offered to existing environmental programs in Manitoba to facilitate their improvement in terms of impact on participants.
