[=v.I, no.1 & 2, May & Nov. 1959 and v.II, no.1, May 1960]
features as design a concentric, circular logo
using "word" [in the centre] in various languages on the periphery:
"verbum" to the North, in Latin,
"logos" to the East in Greek letters,
"slovo" to the South in Russian alphabet,
&"Wort" to the West in Gothic type.
All are entirely in capitals.

On page 2, an editorial note by R. MacG. Dawson, UM, reads:
"Following the organizational meeting in Winnipeg
of the Linguistic Circle of Manitoba & North Dakota on March 30, 1959,
the first regular meeting was held [at the UND] in Grand Forks..." on May 15-16, 1959.
