Winnipeg.

Winter.

January.

You still here? Good.

You have may heard that good old Winterpeg is much like the Arctic in the winter. You may only see water in the form of ice outside (sorry, no lakes or rivers). Despite all of this we promise that you will keep all of your fingers and toes. We are working to minimize the time our visitors spend outside as well as making our time spent indoors as confortable as possible. Here is what you can expect:

Temperatures: For January the average daytime high is about -15 with lows dipping down to -25. While it may not be the most comfortable you will not have to worry about feezing to death. Often times the temperature is compounded with high wind speeds which introduces windchills of -20 or so during the day.

Clothing: A warm jacket will definitely be a good idea, Arctic survival gear might be a bit on the extreme side. The only time we will be outside is walking from the hotel to the bus, then from the bus to different locations. We are trying our best to plan things as well as possible in order to make things go smoothly and minimize inconviences.
