Day hospital sites

The IEGC Project educational sessions would not be possible without the assistance of the participating clinicians and geriatricians at the geriatric day hospitals. Participating students and medical residents learned how to work as an interprofessional team by working together at the same time to develop care plans for day hospital patients and through modelling of teaming behaviour by the clinical team members. The educational sessions took place between January 2006 to December 2007. A fourth geriatric day hospital, located at Seven Oaks General Hospital, served as the IEGC Project's control site during th educational sessions.

In total seven educational sessions were run by the IEGC Project, with sessions offered multiple times at each participating site.
