At March 31, 1999, the Research and Special Fund had a fund balance of $34,229. These funds are restricted and cannot be used for any other purpose than research.

This sum, combined with the current year's surplus of $2,679 results in a Research and Special Fund balance of $36,908 as of March 31, 2000.
