The Office of International Relations (OIR) provides guidance and assistance to the University of Manitoba community to support the internationalization process and global engagement.

Specific OIR activities include:

• Advising faculty and university units on international scholarly and professional activity
• Assisting in the design and management of international development projects
• Strengthen the establishment of international academic exchanges and partnerships
• Supporting and advising on the university's internationalization policies and strategies
• Organizing visits of international delegations
• Informing faculty of international funding agencies and opportunities for international collaborative projects
• Promoting working relationships with international institutions and governments which support development activities
