Canada is committed to participation in international study and research partnerships that build understanding among peoples, develop global citizens and leaders, and contribute to the development of nations.
Every year, the Government of Canada supports international scholars pursuing study and research in Canada through international scholarships funded by the Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT). The University of Manitoba is one of the program’s participating universities.
UM applications to the DFAIT scholarships programs are submitted through the Office of International Relations (OIR) to the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE).
For details of application requirements, please see 2013 Process Guide for UM Supervisors.
