Sarah Anne Johnson is currently a sessional instructor in the Sculpture Area of the University of Manitoba School of Art. She was born in 1976 in Winnipeg and received her BFA from the University of Manitoba in 2002, She went on to complete her MFA at the Yale School of Art in 2004. Her work has been exhibited in a number of solo and group exhibitions in Canada and the United States, and she has been the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards. Her first solo show in New York City opened in February of 2005 and garnered excellent reviews from the New York Times, The Village Voice, and Artforum magazine.
