Organized by Robert Epp, Gallerist, Gallery One One One.

OPENING RECEPTION: Wednesday, 19 May, 5-8 PM

Gallery One One One is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition The Anna & Lyle Silverman Donation. The exhibition presents 21 works selected from a donation by Winnipeg collectors Anna and Lyle Silverman [UM alumnus, BSc(Pharm)/66]. The Silverman Donation is an exciting cross-section of figurative and abstract prints by many of Canada's most important contemporary artists, including Jack Bush, Alex Colville, Christopher Pratt, and Joyce Wieland, Quebec artists Jacques Hurtubise and Alfred Pellan, and Manitoba artists Ivan Eyre, Andrew Valko, and Don Proch. The exhibition also includes a three-dimensional silverpoint and graphite on fibreglass work by Proch, a lacquer on aluminium painting by Tony Tascona, and a unique screenprint on metal by American artist Michael Bigger. A highlight of the Silverman Donation is a stunning Structurist relief by Alberta artist, Ron Kostyniuk, commissioned by the Silvermans.
