Weaver and Carver: Arts of Africa

February 7 - 25, 1977

An exhibition of Heddle Pulleys and Textiles.

"We are fortunate in this exhibition to illustrate the interrelationships of two West African arts: weaving and carving. It provides the opportunity to experience the diversity and the relationships found in the art of traditional societies." Daniel Mato, curator.

Karl-Heinz and Dorothy Krieg loaned the cloth, pulleys,  and weaving equipment incorporated into the show.
